201 Battle of Britain Parade, 9-14 Sep 2026
201 “Guernsey’s Own” Sqn return to the Bailiwick for the St Peter Port Battle of Britain Parade. A pincer movement on the island was conducted; a ground move to transport “The Shooters and the Std”, as described by the Sqn WO and an air move for those that believed the road move was below their stn. The road move was carried out without incident, but the air move was interdicted by the national air traffic outage causing a 48 hour delay to their arrival on the island.
Key engagements on the island were; fundraising with RAFA Guernsey during the Airshow, visiting 201OS Air Cadets and Elizabeth College CCF, attending the Guernsey FC home match where MAcr Fullard may or may not have become Roary the Lion, BoB memorial event at the airport, visiting the Priaulx Library and to top it all off the Guernsey BoB Parade through St Peter Port culminating in the memorial service in the town church.
